Hi, I'm Darby!

I'm the owner and maker behind Graceful Embroidery Co., a faith-rooted handmade business based in southern Kansas.

Like many small business owners, I wear a lot of hats. By day, I work a full-time job, and outside of work you'll usually find me designing new collections, sewing, embroidering, or packing up for my next market. What began in the summer of 2024 as a creative outlet quickly became something much bigger—a business built around creating thoughtfully handmade goods that encourage slower, more intentional living.

I'm always teaching myself something new. What started with embroidery has grown into sewing quilted bags and pouches, making beaded bracelets, and dreaming up future projects (yes, quilting is still on my bucket list!). I love the process of choosing fabrics, creating cohesive collections, and turning an idea into something someone will treasure for years to come.

One of my favorite parts of this journey is meeting customers at local markets. There's nothing quite like watching someone pick up a handmade piece, find one they connect with, and imagine how it will become part of their everyday life.

When I'm not creating, you'll probably find me with a good book, spending time with my fiancé and our dogs, training for my next half marathon, or enjoying a quiet, cozy evening at home.
