What A Slow Summer Looks Like

What A Slow Summer Looks Like

A slow summer, to me, looks like leaving room in the day again. Not filling every second just because I can. It looks like mornings without rushing, open windows, walks after dinner, rereading books I already love, and saying yes to things that make life feel softer.

I think somewhere along the way, summer started feeling like another season to optimize. More plans. More pressure. More trying to make every moment “count.” But lately, I’ve been craving a different kind of season. One that feels a little quieter and a little more grounded.

I want this summer to feel lived in — not rushed through.

Less performing. More noticing.

Fresh fruit and veggies on the counter. Laundry drying in the sunlight. Music playing while I work. Long, meaningful conversations. Taking the scenic route home. Letting ordinary things be enough.

That’s what a slow summer looks like for me. I hope you can find a way to enjoy a slow summer.
